In 2005, Lily Sarafan, age 23 and recent graduate from Stanford University with a Masters in Management Science and Engineering, saw an ad on Craigslist for a senior in-home care company looking for “experienced team members.” Fast forward eight years, and 31-year-old Sarafan is President and COO of the company, Home Care Assistance, a leading provider of in-home care services.
