Two Iranian researchers in Canada’s British Colombia University, Babak Shadgan and Behnam Molavi, have won 2012 WT Innovation Word Cup for designing a fire rescue helmet.
“Our plan was a small helmet for fire fighters. It is equipped with an advance new optical technology which makes it possible to continuously check the vital signs of the fire fighters and possibility of their poisoning with gas,” Dr. Babak Shadgan, one of the winners, told ISNA.
